Daniel & Leonard

Sports Scientist

Daniel Appelhans

I am Daniel, and my journey in sports science began with a degree from DSHS Köln in Sports and Performance, followed by a Master’s degree in Exercise Physiology at the NTNU in Trondheim, Norway. I have always been fascinated by the physiology of endurance sports and during my Master Thesis conducted a study investigating the individual response to different interval sessions. Afterwards I continued to combine science and high-performance sports by working as a Science Communicator and researcher for the German Skiing Federation.

As a coach, I believe my foundation in sports science, coupled with the experience of coaching amateur and professional athletes for multiple years, allow me to create training plans tailored to an individual’s needs and goals. My passion for optimising endurance performance drives me to stay updated with the latest advancements, ensuring I provide athletes with the most effective strategies to reach peak performance.

Professional Triathlete & Sports Engineer

Leonard Arnold

I’m Leonard, a professional German triathlete and sports engineer. I’ve transitioned from being an age-group athlete to a professional, having competed at the Ironman World Championship in Nice in 2023. Along the way, I’ve achieved podium finishes as a pro and am eager to share my knowledge and experience with you.

My experience as a professional triathlete has provided me with firsthand knowledge of the dedication, perseverance, and strategic approach required to excel in endurance sport. I believe this experience, coupled with my academic background in Sport Engineering, equips me with a unique blend of practical insight and technical understanding, enabling me to tailor training programs, offer valuable guidance, and inspire athletes to reach their full potential.
